Foreign Ways, Rampage, Scotty McCabe, Valona Bay, Wizard of Oz. 7.7. DEATH OF R. B. BERRY Christchurch, Dec.. 22. The death occurred in Christchurch to-day of the well-known trotting trainer s R. B. Berry following a period of ill health. The late Roy Berry has been associated with both racing and trotting practically throughout his life. He was a most successful jockey and rode among other winners Sinapis. who won the New Zealand Cup in 1913. As the result of increasing weight he turned his attention to trotting and reached the forefront of his profession both as a trainer and driver. Among the many first-class pacers to pass through h'is hands were Lucky Jack. Parisienne, P. cing Power, Horse Power. Sea Pearl, Great Jewel, and Springfield Globe.
