Berry following a period of ill health. The late Roy Berry has been associated with both racing and trotting practically throughout his life. He was a most successful jockey and rode among other winners Sinapis. who won the New Zealand Cup in 1913. As the result of increasing weight he turned his attention to trotting and reached the forefront of his profession both as a trainer and driver.
