DRY MONTH IN HASTINGS

Hastings, Thi* Day. The present month is the second driest in the history of Hastings and the driest November on record. Only four points of rain have been recorded this month, being one point more than the lowest recorded in December, 1912, and official borough records go back as far as 1892. Associated with the dry spell is a substantial increase in the consumption of water and all previous records have been eclipsed.
