TO BE ARRESTED
LEADERS OF MUTINY ON CHRISTMAS ISLAND
Singapore, Nov. 29 Steps are being taken to arrest the leaders of the small garrison of Indian troops on Christmas Island, in the southern Indian Ocean, who mutinied and murdered their British officer, Captain Williams, and his four N.C.O.’s in March 1942 after the surrender of Malaya to the Japanese. The mutineers confined Europeans on the island under an armed guard.
