At the Royal College of Music Examinations held recently at Palmerston North, Miss Ula Drummond passed Grade V violin with distinction, gaining 14fl, marks out of the possible 150. Captain F. Faulding, who was closely connected with the National Reserve and 2/N.M.W.C. Regiment in the early stages of the war, has been appointed sub-Area Officer at Blenheim. He succeeded Capain E. R. Parkes, who, as from to-morrow, relinquishes his appointment to return to civilian life. Captain Faulding served as quartermaster to the 1/N.M.W.C. Regiment when the army harvesting scheme was in operation and later held an appointment at the Nelson Area Office. ]
