MR WEBB FAREWELLED
PARTY GIVEN IN LONDON London, Nov.. 27. A “welcome and farewell party” given in London by the Acting-High Commissioner, Dr R. M. Campbell, for the New Zealand Minister for Labour, Mr Webb, was attended by Mr Bevin, Lord Addison, Lord Listowel, Lieut.General Freyberg, and Lord Balfour of Burleigh. Many distinguished New Zealanders were present, including Major-Gen. Kippenberger. There were also the chiefs of the three Services and representatives of banking, shipping and produce cii'cles Mr Webb, who was bearing a black patch over his left eye socket, has fully recovered from his operation and expects to fly to New Zealand in a fortnight.—P.A.
