TEDDY THE PUP
My puppy, Teddy, has been a good wee dog lately. I take him for a walk nearly every afternoon, but I don’t walk much, as I have to run to keep up with him. He is going quite silver now. He plays with the pom off a slipper and has great fun with it. He throws it up in the air and catches it with his mouth. He sits up and begs for his food and sometimes he walks on his hind legs. He looks something like a penguin when he is sitting up. Ho is friendly with the cats now, except when they eat his food. They don’t often get a chance to do that now, though. Teddy scratches the door t he wants to get through, and he knows when he has to sit quietly, for we put a cushion on the floor for him. Dad was down in the shed the other day and Teddy could see him and wanted to go down to see what was happening. Dad didn’t want him to go out on the ro_d, so he said he had to stay at the house. However, he looked so sad that, after a while, we tied him up by the shed where he could watch Dad more closely. He was very happy after that. Cynthia Hebberd, Whangamoa.
