A census clerk found that the blank under the heading, “Age of father if living” and “Age of mother if living” had been filled with the figures 120 and 112. “But your parents were never so old as that, were they?” asked the astonish. e•' clerk. “No,” was the reply, “but they would have been if living.” Can a skipper ship a kipper in his slipper?
