Thj Bishop of Nelson will hold an ordination in the Cathedral to-morrow (Friday) morning at 10.30 when he will ordain the Rev. B. J. Machell, L.Th. to the priesthood. Two students who served with the 2 ’ N.Z.E.F. in Italy have been nominated by the professorial board of Canterbury University College as candidates for the two special Rhodes Scholarships for 1946 allocated to New Zealand for competition among servicemen candidates. They are Major M. P. Donnelly, 8.A., the well-known cricketer. w{ip is now studying at Oxford, and Lieutenant J. W. Ridley, B.Sc., B.E. (Civil), who is still in Italy!
