AUSTRALIA'S SUPPORT
POLICY ENUNCIATED BY MR BEVIN Sydney, Nov. 27. The Minister of Defence, Mr Beasley, pledged “support to the hilt” for the p< licy enunciated in the House of Commons last Friday by the British Foreign Minister. Mr Bevin. In a speech at Sydney Mr Beasley said Mr Bevin was proving himself a man of strong character and his “cards on the table” appeal to the nations was a firm and honest approach. He added: “A po.licy of apneasement can lead to the appeas. er’s destruction, but Mr Bevin is making a stand for Britain’s policy. The world should know that we stand by that policy and will fight for it if neces. sary.”
