DOVEDALE BRANCH The November meeting of the Dovedale branch of the Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union was held in the Sunday School with Mrs C. Burnett presiding. ' V . During the month a dance in aid of W.D.F.U. funds was held ancfras a result the branch was able to send £8 to Com. muViily Chest. Mrs Corder was the guest of honour at the dance. During the meeting Mrs Burnett cordially welcomed a n«*v member, Mrs V. Davies. A reading by Mrs Fowler on the opening of Te Kiteroa Rest Home was greatly enjoyed by members. The competition “cap words’’ arranged by Mrs Hull called for much concentration and the prize was won by Mrs D. Batt. The delegate’s prize, donated *by Mrs N. A. Win, was won by Mis s J. E. Yuill. The results of the month’s competitions were as follows:—Worked buttonhole, Mrs N. A. Win and Mrs C. Burnett Ist equal, Mrs L. Hall 3. Flowers, Mrs L. Hall 1, Mrs J. Davies 2, Mrs Fowler and Mrs Silcock 3rd equal.
