State: Next week-end, Bob Hope in ‘ The Princess and the Pirate.” in technicolour, with Virginia Mayo, Walter Brennan and Victor McLaglen. Laid in the middle of the 18th century, the plot deals with Ihe hilarious adventures of Sylvester The Great, a cautious actor who. en route to the West Indies, is captured along with the beautiful Princess Margaret by a band of bloodthirsty buccaneers led by The Hook the most ferocious pirate of the Spanish Main in a sea fight which is a film spectacle classic. There is a surprise ending.
Majestic: Finally to-night, “This is the Army.” To-morrow and Friday, “Atlantic City” and “Whispering Footsteps.” Starting on Saturday, “Thirty Seconds Over Tokyo” (Spencer Tracy, Van Johnson, Robert Walker). Music, singing and comedy are well blended in “Atlantic City” which starts to-morrow and the second film on this programme will be a thriller of the best kind. It has suspense for the onlooker from the start. “Thirty Seconds Over Tokyo” will be the attraction for the week-end.
