QUISLING FOUND GUILTY
APPEAL TO HIGHER COURT SUPPORTERS ARRESTED IN GAOL London, Sept.. 10. The presiding judge in the Quisling trial announced that seven judges unanimously found Quisling guilty of breaches of both military and civil codes. Quisling was calm but deadly pale when the sentence was read. He appealed to the Higher Court whose verdict is expected within three weeks. The verdict day in the trial opened in tense excitement after a report that Quisling supporters last night tried to organise his escape. Reuter’s Oslo correspondent sa3 r s that according to one of Quisling’s guards, the police captured three supporters wearing Swedish uniforms and carrying false passports in the gaol where Quisling is held. Military police to-day minutely searched the courthouse before the judges and jury filed in. The Court was packed to capacity. The Judge, after announcing the sentence. said Quisling’s entire fortune valued at about £60.000 would be confiscated.
