MR ATTLEE INVITED
VISIT TO AUSTRALIA • Rec. 12.0 p.m.) Canberra. This Day. The Prime Minister, Mr Chifley. said it was nroposed to invite the British Prime Minister, Mr Attlee, to visit Australia. “We know he cannot come immediately but we hope that he will be able to visit us at an appropriate time.”
Mr Chif.ey recalled that the late Prime Minister, Mr Curtin, had invited Mr Churchill to come to Australia and said the invitation remained in force and he did not think it needed repeating.
