ARRESTS IN PARIS
HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS OF FRANCS INVOLVED
(Rec. 10.10 a.m.) London. Aug. 29 Thirty-five Frenchmen suspected by thj police of being implicated in a huge counterfeiting racket, involving hundreds of millions of francs have been arrested, says the correspondent of the Associated Press of Great Britain in Paris. One suspect was arrested after a gun battle at his Paris suburban home the garage of which contained £37.500 worth of lake francs. One gang confessed to turning out £425.000 worth of fake notes in six hours.
