SERVICES APPRECIATED
DAIRY COMPANY DIRECTORS At the annual meeting of Golden Bay Dairy Co. two retiring directors Mr L. Petterson and Mr T. H. D. Symes were farewelled and their services to the company recognised by the presentation of inscribed wrist watches. In making the presentation on behalf of the shareholders, the deputychairman. Mr L. Hitchcock, said that Mr Petterson had been a director for 20 years and Mr Symes for a long period during which he had been chairman of directors for many years. Mr E. H. Nee s endorsed Mr Hitchcock’s remarks. The retiring directors were accorded musical honours. In his reply Mr Symes congratulated the two new directors and expressed regret that pressure of work had forced him to resign from the directorate where the best of relationships had always existed among members in spite of any difference in opinion. Mr Petterson, in returning thanks, said that his years as director had been an education to him and the good feeling among directors 4 had made the work a pleasure.
