FAIR TO FINE AND COOL Wellington, This Day. Situation: A deep depression is south of the Chathams and an anti-cyclone is over south-eastern Australia. Forecast to 5 p.m. Thursday: South-westerly winds occasionally fresh, scattered showers about the ranges but weather otherwise fair to fine, temperatures rather cool with some frosts. Further outlook: Fair conditions. A calm, sunny day was experienced in Nelson to-day. and temperatures were fairly mild, although the minimum overnight temperature recorded at the Cawthron Institute was 32.8 dej grees and there was a light frost in some parts of the town this morning. Yesterday there was 3 hours 42 minutes’ bright sunshine.
