Duomint, winner of the rich Australian Hurdle Race at Caulfield yesterday, and his apprertfice rider, C. Morley, were both novices over the jumps. , It was Duomint’s fourth hurdle race and Morley’s only win till yesterday had been on Duomint a month ago. Duomint won very easily, beating two well-performed hurdlers in Hiatus and Isambard. Results:— Australian Hurdle Race.—Duomint, 9.5, 1: Hiatus, 10.2, 2; Isambard. 11.10, 3. Thirteen started.
