GYMKHANA AT RIWAKA
0005 AFTERNOON’S SPORT
A successful gymkhana was held by the Riwaka Riding Club in the Riwaka Recreation Ground, in fine weather. There was an excellent attendance and the spectators were provided with a good afternoon of sport, in which mem bers of the Takaka Riding Club also took part. Mr Stan Fry judged the jumping events, and Mesdames F. Hickmott and J, Inglis judged the fancy drees event. The highlights of the programme were the married ladles’ race and the fancy dressed horse event, and T. Coleman’ 3 unique entry in the latter provided considerable amusement- Mr J. Jenkins, president of the Riwaka Riding Club, thank e d ai present for their support and Mr Humphries, president of the Takaka Riding Club, expressed the appreciation of his members for the enjoyable visit. Miss B. Paterson, captain of the Riwaka Riding Club, presented the prjres, and expressed the cjub’s gratitude to all those who had contributed towards making the gymkhana suoh an outstanding success.
