“VICTORY” PARADE IN MOSCOW
ZHUKOV TAKES THE SALUTE * London, June 24. Formations of the Red Army in Moscow’s "Victory” parade dragged through the dust in the Red Square the colours of 200 German regiments captured in the battle, says Moscow radio. Marshal Zhukov, v/ho was greeted with elaborate ceremonial, standing with Marshal Stalin took the salute at the parade, in which Marshals Koniev, Malinovsky, Tolbukhin and other marshals led regiments representing every command on the Eastern Front. Marshal Zhukov arrived for the parade mounted on a white charger. Marshal Rokossovsky on a black horse galloped to meet him, and the two marshals rode between ranks greeting each regiment. Marshal Zhukov then dismounted and joined Marshal Stalin on the stand on the Lenin mausoleum.
