PUCE FOR POUND
INTERNATIONAL SECURITY ORGANISATION
(Rec. 9.55 a.m.) London, June 25. The last-minute settlement of the Polish dispute by Polish leaders in Moscow has enabled Poland to participate in the new international security organisation as a foundation member, says a San Francsico correspondent. A place will be kept for Poland when the United Nations charter, the text of which was adopted by the Steering Committee at the San Francisco conference last night, is formally signed on Tuesday. The suggestion that a place should be reserved for Pol. nd was made by the four conference presidents, Mr Stettinius. Lord Halifax, M. Gromyko ana Dr. Wellington Koo, and was accepted with acclamation by the committee. It is no longer thought probable that the United States Congress will ratify the charter in time for the meeting between the “Big Three.” There is little doubt it will be passed by Congress, but it may take a month before it goes through all stages.
