MOTUPIPI W.D.F.U.
The monthly meeting of the Motupipi W.D.F.U. was held at the residence of the president, Mrs M. Humphreys. Members stood in silence in memory of the late Mrs C. Robertson, who had been a member of the branch for 10 years, during which time her work had been invaluable to the Division. Mrs Humphreys, in referring to the loss sustained by Ihe branch, said that Mrs. Robertson would be missed as a member and as a personal friend. The roll call “Household hints,” brought forth useful ideas. The president congratulated Mrs Richmond on the release of her son from a P.O.W. camp. Mrs Humphreys won Mrs Richmond’s mystery parcel. Competition winners were: best shrub. Beryl Humphreys 1. Mrs Richmond 2; best bloom. Mrs Richmond 1, Beryl Humphreys 2.
