NEIGHBOURLINESS
T To the Editoi ] Sir.—ln answer to a query by Alan Brown which recently appeared in the columns of “The. Mail” I wish to say that his happy experience of neighbours’ kindliness is in no way unique. All over the North and South Islands of this beautiful country the same kind, generous and helpful spirit towards those in difficulty, trouble or sickness and, indeed, at all times, is manifested by the kind and generous people of New Zealand to such an extent that it has become proverbial everywhere. Visitors to these islands have been much impressed by it. This i£ the true community spirit which does much to help us all forward on life’s somewhat at times difficult_ pathway.. I am sure otbefc§. will bear me 1 out-in “this. —I am, etc., “OBSERVER.” Upper Moutere, 21gt June.
