WEATHER FORECAST
CONDITIONS BECOMING FAIR Wellington. This Day. Situation: An extensive depression, centred east of Cook Strait, is moving to the south-east. Forecast to 5 p.m. Tuesday: Moderate variable winds, south-wester-lies predominating, weather dull at first with occasional rain chiefly in the range*, but becoming fair tomorrow. Temneratures cold. Further outlook: Fair conditions. A change to milder weather conditions was experienced in Nelson during the week-end rhe minimum' temperature last nieht being only 38.5 degrees and +he previous night 35 degrees, a contrast to the recent long succession of frosty nights. There were light showers of rain on Saturday evening and again last night, and although the weather vesterdav was fine, the skies were overeat and there w»s onlv one hour’s bn'gh’ sun°hire Saturday’s bright sunshine totalled 3 hours 57 minutes. D*ll weather was \exnerienced again to-day but conditions were calm and fairly mild.
