State Theatre: Screening to-night, Wednesday and Thursday, Hopalong Cassidy’si “Mystery Man.- and “The Woman of the Town” starring Claire Trevor, Albert Dekber. The mystery man of the first title is Bud Trilling, notorious leader of a gang of bank thieves and cattle rustlers, who has never been seen by his victims. However, he has never before met up with Hopalong Cassidy, and when he does he realises he has at last met a man whose wits, daring and confidence are more than a for his own. “The Woman of the Town” tells the true-life story of "Bat" Masterson. one-time sports editor of the “N.T. Morning Telegraph.” It includes his exciting career as a peace marshal in the old frontier town of Dodge City when it was the toughest place in the West. Majestic: To-night and to-morrow, “The Omaha Trail” and “Crossroads.” These films should provide an acceptable bit’ of fare for patrons. The first one deals with the early days of the American west, when the pioneers were facing dangers as they sought to carry the railway across the continent. The second picture is an absorbing story of a man whose memory foils him after a night of danger and who goes about under the threat of a murder Charge. It is William Powell's most dramatic role on the screen and he has ex- . cellent support in Hedy Lamarr and Basil Rr.thbone. .„
