CHURCHES OF CHRIST CONFERENCE
Representatives of the Churches of Christ throughout the Dominion assembled in Wellington recently for a council of committees. This coincided with the winter youth school, when more than 80 young people undertook a course of leadership training conducted by Mr G. R. Stirling, Dominion youth leader, who leaves shortly for South Australia. Mr R. T. Wright presided, and representatives included the vice-president, Mr A. E. Brough, Nelson, Principal A. L. Haddon, Professor E. R. Vickery, Dunedin, Mr E. Vickery, Auckland, and Mrs Boughan, Christchurch, president of the ChristiE#i Women’s Auxiliaries. Subjects discussed included the appointment of a home mission organiser, and a scheme whereby bursaries would be provided for students entering the ministry of the churches. Mr A. E. White, Melbourne, is to succeed Mr Stirling as youth director.
