A Busy Round The National Savings Organiser (Mr W. A. Reed) has continued addressing the staffs of the various business premises in the city. His latest visits include those to the State Advances. Hannah and Co., the Education Office, Nelson Steam Laundry, the Railways, the Post Office, Montgomery’s Garage Ltd., Nelson Paint Co., Public Works, Gough's Nelson Breweries’ Cordial Factory. R. W. Stiles and Co., Waterside Workers, Harbour Board, Nelson Dairies, Shell Oil Co., Optimists. Vacuum Oil Co. "This busy Vound has been made very pleasant by the great reception I have received,” said Mr Reed. Lend! “The war is not yet over. Japan must be defeated before we can claim final victory and expect to live in peace and security.”—War Loan Committee message. Southland Draws Ahead After lying handy behind the leaders during the greater part of the Victory Loan campaign Southland, last year’s winner, has now drawn ahead with a percentage of 86 of its quota. Nelson, winner in 1943, has not been able so far to double up on that performance.
