Couponed meat meals in hotels and restaurants still require a 3d. coupon. Butchers should note that “H" and “J” coupons banked after 10th June have a value of 3d. only, except that Nos. 31 and 32, if banked not later than Tuesday, 12th June, will be credited, at their former values. Manufacturers’ allocations are reduced by 20%, commencing with the four-weekly period from June 11th. Any manufacturer who has already received a permit for the full amount of his previous allocation for the next period must have it adjusted by the local Rationing Officer before deposit with the supplier. MEAT COUPON NUMBERS REMAIN UNCHANGED. HERE ARE THE NUMBERS AVAILABLE UP TO JULY BTH: BUTTER As from Monday, June 11th, the butter ration k reduced from 8 oz. to 6 at. per week. Instead of* two coupons a fortnight, only THREE out of each set of four butter coupons are useable in each four-weekly period. Every fourth coupon has no value. Each of the three valid coupons can be used to buy i lb. of butter at any time during the four weeks, making a total ration for the period of H COUPONS REDEEMABLE for lib butter lb. (i. 0., the equivalent of 6 oz. EACH FOR THE NEXT TWO periods ARE: weekly). Consumers will remain registered with their retailers, who will continue to cancel valid coupons. Butter coupons on special sheets (each coupon marked “E”), on emergency cards, and on Armed Services’ full-ration leave cards have each a value of 1 lb. butter, and every coupon remains valid regardless of the number it bears. Allocations to manufacturers and collective consumers are reduced by 25%. Wholesale supV pliers are requested to make this reduction as from June 11th, if advice has not already been received from the local Rationing Officer. Cream permits for icecream manufacture are also reduced by 25%.
