ANOTHER BIRD OF PASSAGE HALTED
Thomas Sweeney, who was convicted of being idle and disorderly in that he did not have any lawful mean> of support. was sentenced to three months’ imprisonment by Mr T. E. Maunsell in the Magistrate’s Court this morning. Senior-Sergeant H. E. Knight said that the accused demanded a bed at the Public Hospital, but was refused and he was found later in the Nurses’ Home and turned out. He had no money and no method of supporting himself. The police had found that he was a bird of passage. t
