FAIR TO FINE AND COOL Wellington, This Day. | Situation: An anti-cyclone ex- | tends from the Tasman Sea on to the North Island. A trough is advancing on to Southland from the west. Forecast to 5 p.m. Saturday: Moderate south-westerly winds predominating, weather fair to fine, temperatures cool with frosts. Further outlook: Few scattered showers likely on Saturday night, otherwise fair. A strong south-westerly wind yesterday made ou'door conditions cold and unpleasant and the light northerly breeze, blue skies and bright sunshine to-day were a welcome relief. Last night was again cool, temperatures dropping to a minimum of 29.8 degrees. ! The sun shone for 6 hours 4 minutes j yesterday when the maximum tempera. ; ture was 59.5 degrees.
