V-DAY ARRANGEMENTS
SALVATION ARMY PLANS At a recent meeting of the department managers of the Nelson Salvation Army Corps the following arrangements were decided upon for V-Day. The hall in Rutherford street will be thrown open for prayer and thanksgiving immediately the news is given of the cessation of hostilities. The band will play in Trafalgar street and a special song sheet with suitable hymns and songs being prepared. Arrangements for the providing of hot water in the Junior Hall for use of mothers and young families from the country are being made.
