WOOLLEN MILLS FATALITY
MAN’S FEET TORN OFF Oamaru, Apl. 12. John Johnston, single, aged 31, an employee of the Oamaru Woollen Mills, had both feet torn off by shafting at 9.15 this morning. He was taken to hospital but died immediately after admission. He was standing on a stack of ammonia sulphate unloading bags when his clothes were caught by the steel shafting.—P.A.
