HAMILTON BY-ELECTION Hamilton, Apl. 9. Speculation is rife in Hamilton as to who will contest the seat in the House of Representatives rendered vacant by death of the National Party member. Mr. F. Findlay. The name of Mrs. Hnda Ross, deputy-mayor of Hamilton, has b£en frequently mentioned .as the possible National candidate, and it is known that shp will be invited to consent to nomination. The Labour Party has not yet made its choice, hut Mr. C. A. Barrel), who formerly held the sear. Mr. C. Croall, Mr. K. A. Waters and Major W. S. Jordau are all mentioned as possible candidates.
