INTER-HOUSE INDOOR BASKETBALL There was a fair attendance at the annual meeting of the Y.M.C.A. Interhouse Indoor Basketball Association. The annual report and statement of accounts were received, the latter show ing that the association is very sound,, financially. Advict received from a basketball conference held recently in Wellington stated that they were appealing to all associations to adopt universal rulings, in view of national championships being revived this year. The following officers were elected for the 1945 season: Hon. secretary, Mrs K. R. Gay; assistant secretary, Miss G. Rennie; committee, Mrs Ogg, Misses V. Saunders, S. Jones, J. Amos, Messrs N. Clarke, P. Day, W/O Ogg and Sgt. Doherty; doorkeeper, Miss B. Muncaster; timekeeper, Mr A. H. Davy. Practice matches are to be played for the next two weeks, the championship to commence later in the month: The following is the draw for Wednesday next:— 7 p.m.: Y.M.C.A. v. Buxtons. 7.15 p.m.: Iron Duke “A” v. Air Force “H.Q.” 7.33 p.m.: Swimming Cl’ib v Convent O.G. “B.” 7.48 p.m.: Iron Duke “A” v. Iron Duke “B.” 8.0 p.m. Fire v. Athletic. Teams are to arrange their own referees. Other teams desiring a practice game are asked to communicate with the assistant secretary.
