COMMITTED FOR TRIAL Palmerston N., Apl. 7. Before justices of the peace, Henry Alfred Donovan, aged 23. farm labourer. Rongotea. was charged that on 2nd April at Rongotea. being the driver of a motor-vehicle involved in a collision with William Charles Watkins, aged 45. carpenter. Rongotea. in which the latter was injured he failed to render all practicable . istance. Accused, was also charged with failing to report the accident to the police. Watkinv died on the way to hospital after being found gravely injured on Tompkins Line. Accused pleaded not guilty and was committed to the Supreme Court for trial—P.A.
