PRISONERS SENTENCED
Auckland, Aug. 14. The following prisoners were sentenced in the Supreme Court this morning: Margaret Campbell (aged 64) for the use of an instrument with intent to procure a miscarriage, nine months’ reformative detention; Raymond Frank Davis (aged 23) for theft of galvanised iron and lead. three years’ probation; Thomas Boyle Dennis (aged 41). and Clifford Dennis Connelly (aged 32) for theft of car parts, four years’ and two years’ reformative detention respectively; Henry Lingman, for assaulting an American sailor, three years’ probation; Waiti Haare. for the same offence, twelve months’ imprisonment with hard labour; Clement Robert. Awson. for being in possession of an unlicensed still, nine months’ imprisonment; Leslie Snow, for the same offence. six months’ imprisonment; Thos. Edward Donaldson, for indecent assault, three years’ probation.
