COLLINGWOOD COUNTY
COUNCIL’S MONTHLY MEETING The Collingwood County Council at its monthly meeting decided to make a contribution of £2 2s to the Nelson Provincial Progress League. .It was decided to write to the league enquiring whether the industries the league had in mind were to be centralised in Nelson or were to be developed at the source of supply. The Commissioner of Crown Lands wrote stating that he was not in favour of having flax cut on the Kaihoka J akes Reserve. The question of having the sides of the Aorere bridge protected by wire was referred to the engineer for a report at the next meeting. It was .reported that repairs to the Parapara suspension bridge had been completed.
