REHABILITATION Mr Davy stated that the Rehabilitation Board required a list of approved growers who would take mefi foxtraining. He explained the two yeai*s’ scheme and the Government subsidy. HUTS AND ACCOMMODATION The secretary, after reference to the hostel at Motueka where a limited number of tobacco workers could be accommodated, explained in detail the Public Works plan of accommodation for agricultural workers. The plan was oft view for growers’ inspection. NELSON COUNCIL OF PRIMARY PRODUCERS Messrs R. Stevens and F. A. Hamilton were nominated and after a ballot Mr Stevens was elected the Tobacco Growers’ representative on the Council of Primary Producers. AVERAGE PRICE Mr Wills suggested that there might be a minimum average price for growers. Considerable discussion ensued on this point and the question of grades and prices. The chairman said they had had i request from the Government to increase production and growers should aim at higher production at a better economic price. It was up to the Government to see that the basic average was economic to the grower. EXECUTIVE MEETING At a subsequent executive meeting Messrs F. A. Hamilton and C. E.
