THE HAPPINESS CLUB
• FLAG 500 EVENING The members and friends of the Happiness Club held another successful Flag 500 evening in the Civic Tea Rooms. After 33 games had been played the winners proved to be: Mrs Scott Snr.. Mrs Scott Jnr.. Mr Stewart and Mr Westley, with 21 flags. The second prizes were won by Mrs H. E. Scott. Mr Bolton. Mr and Mrs Harford, with 17 flags. The travelling prizes went to Mr s Akehurst and Mrs Pahl. The special table prizes were won by Mrs Parker. Mrs Mansell and Mr and Mrs Baldwin and the special prize by Mrs Cade.After the cards supper was served, and Mrs A. Clements, president, thanked all present for making the evening so enjoyable. and on behalf of the members, took the opportunity of bidding farewell to Miss Southorn. a regular attender at the card evgnings who will reside in Christchurch in future.
