WEDDING

HALFORD—PARKER The Methodist Church, Motueka, was recently the scene of an attractive wedding, when Ethel Monica, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs A. E. Roskill, Auckland.* The Rev. T. Coatsworth officiated. The bride wore a gown of dainty white figured organdie over shimmering satin which gave a most unusual and charming effect. A full skirt flared from the pointed fitting bodice, where satin buttons gleanr?d from the waist to the frilled neckline, and the long sleeves pointed at the wrist had the same matching buttons running to the elbow’. Around the throat she wore a pendant of mother of pearl. Her embroidered chiffon veil was held in place by a head band, and topped by a cluster of real orange blossom. She carried a bouquet of white dahlias and maiden hair fern. In attendance as bridesmaids were two sisters of the bride—Miss Jessie Parker and Miss Margaret Parker, who were gowned in pretty powderblue satin, adorned with bodice of apricot, velvet ribbon bows and wearing shoulder length veils of apricot tulle, frilled to a halo and caught with a small shower of flowers. They both wore similar gold crosses as throat pendants, and carried bouquets of apricot blooms, tied with blue bows. Mr Morris Parker and Mr Sam Ogg were best man and groomsman. Mrs Wesney officiated at the organ and accompanied Mrs Pierce in her rendering of a hvmn during the sign- i ing of the register. The church was 1 beautifully decorated in shades of j blue and apricot flowers arranged | by Mrs Inwood, a friend of the bride.!
