NEXT SATURDAY’S DISPLAY
TUG-OF-WAR AND MARCHING CHAMPIONSHIPS Strenuous training is being undertaken by many of the tug-of-war teams who are competing at the Provincial Tug-of-War Championships which are to be held at Trafalgar Park next Saturday afternoon. Every evening, teams of young ladies may be observed going through intricate marching evolutions on several of the local parks and it is evident that all teams are taking their training seriously. This should produce keen competition next Saturday afternoon. A feature of the girls’ marching display will be the uniforms and despite the shortage of suitable materials, some very attractive outfits will be seen.
