RECONNAISSANCE CORPS
Rugby, Feb. 5. By a special Army order the Reconnaissance Corps became on Ist January a part of the Royal Armoured Corps. The corps, which had previously been under infantry command, retains its identity badges and distinctive dress. The change represents a natural development, states a military correspondent. Since the corps inherited in this war the task of the divisional cavalry of the past it is fitting it should now be working in close conact with the heavier branch of fast mobile warfare, retaining its individuality and traditions as it develops.
