JAP TROOP DISPOSITIONS
Chungking, Feb. 4. The Japanese are concentrating troops in North Honan province, apparently for a southward descent on the Pei-ping-Hankow railway, said a Chinese Army spokesman. He added that the Japanese were also assembling troops at Nanchang for a thrust westwards towards the Canton-Hankow railway. In Burma the Japanese have amassed eight divisions, four more than were used in Burma’s conquest, and of which four face the Allied advance from Assam, two along the Salween River, and two in the vicinity of Rangoon to repel a possible Allied landing
