GREEKS KILL MANY GERMANS (Rec. 11.0 a.m.) Rugby, Feb. 4. In a seven-day battle in Eirius, Greece, 140 Germans were killed and wounded, according to Greek Government sources in London. Greek casualties were 20. Further south a German detachment of 150 men was attacked twice. In central Macedonia, Greek guerrillas, after penetrating barbedwire defences, attacked with hand grenades a German sentry post of 12 men strong and wiped it out. Fresh German savagery is reported from Peloponnesos, where 75 Greek hostages were shot and another 10 hanged between 10th and 15th January. On 18th January 17 more Greek hostages were hanged at Tegea.
