BRITISH BUTTER RATION
London, Jan. 22.
An official of the Ministry of Food, commenting on the possibility of a cut in the British butter ration said: “We rely for the greater part of our butter ration on New Zealand and Australia, and if we are to maintain the present ration we must find other sources which do not seem available. Much depends on the supply and shipping available. As the United Nations fighting services grow larger, the greater is the demand for the services which have first claim.”
