HITLER HASN’T QUIT LYING Once Adolf Hitler declared that he could make the world believe any lie if he made it big enough and told it often enough. He still is using lies as a war weapon. “We talked to some German prisoners we had taken off Sicily,” reports a naval officer. “They thought New York had been bombed off the map, that the Japanese had landed on the west coast and occupied San Francisco. and that the German army was as far west as Chicago. When we told them our planes had been bombing Germany they sat down and cried like babies.” Most of the stuff coming out of the capitals of Axis nations is just as ridiculous as that.”—“Grit,” New York.
