ANOTHER ATTEMPT ON LAVAL’S LIFE
TOMMY GUNNERS ATTACK CAR London. Jan. 10. Tommy-gunners fired from each side of the road at M. Laval’s car while he was motoring with Herr Abetz, German Ambassador to Paris, from Vichy to his country residence, says the ‘‘Daily Mail’s” Madrid correspondent. The A’indscreen of the car was smashed and the chauffeur slightly wounded, but he drove on. Gunmen fired at the back of the car. but it was armoured. Laval’s motor cyclist guard fired at the gunmen without result. No arrests were made.
