“IMPERIAL DRINK” FOR FAMINE VICTIMS
London, Dec. 5. A new “imperial drink,” consisting of sugar and lime added to plain or barley water, is the basis of a treatment saving the lives of hundreds of Bengal famine victims, says Reuter’s Calcutta correspondent. The treatment includes the use of vitamin tablets and pre-digested meat.
