RACEHORSE'S ESCAPADE
FOUR PERSONS INJURED Breaking away from its attendant while on the highway between Reefton and the railway station after the Reefton races on Saturday, the racing mare, In Chancery, took fright and bolted, charging into a number of persons who were returning from the races. Four persons were injured. Pilot Officer J. J. Moyle, R.N.Z.A.F., received injuries to his right leg which required a number of stitches, and is a patient in the Reefton Hospital. Mr Reginald Richards, of Ahaura, was admitted to the Grey Hospital suffering from bruises to the back. His condition yesterday was reported to be satisfactory. His father, Mr J. Richards, received a bruised arm, and Mr S. Burrows, also of Ahaura, received a sprained ankle and bruises on the back and legs.
