FRUITGROWERS’ DEPUTATION
TO MEET PRIME MINISTER TO-MORROW Arrangements have been made for a deputation comprising the New Zealand Fruitgrowers’ Federation directors and the chairmen of growers’ meetings held throughout the Dominion last week, to meet the Prime Minister in Wellington to-morrow morning at 11 o’clock. The deputation will point out to the Prime Minister the growers’ objections to the new system recently announced by the Government for the purchase of the 1944 pip fruit crop, and will try to reach an amicable settlement on the subject.
