FAIR TO CLOUDY Wellington, This Day. The indications are for winds becoming light to moderate, southwesterly predominating, iome scattered drizzle at first but soon fair to cloudy, temperatures mild. The further outlook is for mainly fair conditions. A trace oi rain fell in Nelson this morning, the first wetting the town has received since 15th December It soon evaporated, the sky cleared and the weather was as hot and dry as ever Yesterday’s maximum was 76.9 degrees, followed by a warm night, with a minimum of 40.5 degrees. Cloudy conditions reduced the sunshine total yesterday to 4 hours 43 minutes NEARLY 8 FEET OF RAIN The rainfall m Grey mouth for 1943 was 93.59in. This is nearly 28in. less than the fall in the previous year.
